Launching Communication Skills for the Perinatal Professional
This 5-hour comprehensive communication course is designed to enhance the essential communication skills required for lactation consultants and other healthcare professionals involved in breastfeeding care. Grounded in the IBCLC Detailed Content Outline, the course emphasizes the importance of understanding clients' needs, active listening, and providing emotional support. Participants will learn strategies for developing an appropriate plan of care using Motivational Interviewing, assisting clients in making informed decisions, anticipating educational needs, and fostering a supportive environment.
